"Football is the greatest game in the world. It is played by more people across the globe than any other sport. For a privileged few, it is how they earn a living. But for the vast majority of people who play the game, it is a fun, leisure activity for all ages, to be enjoyed. We can all help our children enjoy the game more, by creating the right environment. By allowing them to play with freedom. By letting them make mistakes. By encouraging them to make their own decisions."
At Kingsdown Knights we understand it takes all of us to achieve a club we can all be proud of.
A little bit about how we operate:
Parents and Carers
We understand it's you that gets your loved ones to training and matches and we at Kingsdown Knights appreciate all your hard work.
If your child has a space in our club we will include you in a chat group and keep you up to date with all the teams goings on and welcome you into the football family.
Coaches
All our coaches are fully vetted and DBS checked. They all hold the required FA approved level of coaching qualifications to train and manage grass roots football, but importantly they are Volunteers and parents/carers themselves. They are passionate people that love the game and wish to give back.
Players
If you are lucky enough to join the mighty Knights, we will do all we can to help develop you on and off the pitch. A place where you can develop your life and football skills.

Game time
We aim to enter each of our age groups in to tournaments and leagues to offer real game experience.
With league squad number restrictions, coaches will consider a whole host of reasons to shape a team.
They have a hard task picking players and understand it's impossible to keep everyone happy all of the time but do their very best to try.
Fair Prices
The cost per month for each player varies per age group - please speak with your relevant age group manager for further information.
A monthly fee is to be paid on the 1st of every month over a 12 month period.
The payment will cover:
- Player Registration
- FA affiliation
- Training Costs - pitch fees / footballs / training equipment
- Match Fees including cost of referee's if applicable
- Winter training facilities
- All other associated costs involved in running a youth football club such as league fees, insurance.
